"My work is seasoned by a life lived in a great diversity of cultural contexts, which enables me to transcend the limits of one-dimensionality. ... Although often provocative and (self) critical in tone, and neologistic in language, I consider my poems to be ageless and intellectually and emotionally accessible to a broad and diverse readership,"
Ana Elsner, 2006

I had a chance to attend one of Ana Elsner's poetry readings recently and was one of the first to buy a copy of CIPHERS. This poet takes a stand on human issues without romanticizing them. She has a very clear voice. Buy the book.

The poems by Ana Elsner are typically very high-density and packed with meaning, word-by-word. Now that her "Ciphers Of Uncommon Origin" has come out in print and I have my own copy, I can read and reread my favorites anytime. I find that I uncover even deeper layers of expression each time I revisit her poetry.
Congratulations to Ana Elsner on her new book: it is significant in contents and beautifully designed.

Elsner's work is a shiny pearl among the pervasive pointlessness in modern poetry. I have read 'Ciphers' and recommend it.

I mailed my check only last week and the book already arrived: lightning fast shipping. Thanks. I like all the poems but my favorite is 'Red and Blue', powerful stuff.

I want to thank Ana Elsner for autographing her book of poetry for me. Ciphers Of Uncommon Origin will be one of my treasures and will go to Las Cruces with me this winter also. Each time I read one of Ana's poems for the second or third time, I make a new discovery.

I just got my copy of Ciphers. I took a chance on it based on all Ana Elsner poems I could find on the web. I am very satisfied with this collection of poems. Will order a copy to be sent to my sister for Christmas. She is taking a poetry class and will appreciate 'Ciphers Of Uncommon Origin'.

I could not find a 'comment' feature on the InstaPLANET Press publisher's site, so I am leaving my review here:
Having recently ordered and received a copy of Ciphers of Uncommon Origin – Poems by Ana Elsner I strongly recommend it to all who appreciate a strong voice in contemporary poetry.
In this selection of poems Ana Elsner presents a panoply of issues and topics, among them societal criticism, global awareness and visionary journeys of the heart and mind.
